|WELCOME FROM PETER de SAVARY||| Print ||
Over the years, I have been privileged to visit many spectacular places around the world and feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to create some of the most successful private clubs and resorts comprising more than 30 international projects including the St. James’ Clubs globally, The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle in the Highlands of Scotland, Cherokee Plantation in South Carolina, Carnegie Abbey in Rhode Island, Bovey Castle on Dartmoor National Park, England, as well as The Abaco Club on Winding Bay in the Bahamas.
Returning to Grenada early in 2006, some 55 years after my first visit, I was charmed and excited by this ‘gem’ of an island which is perhaps the most scenic and friendly in the West Indies and will, in the future, become the number one ‘hideaway’ in the Caribbean.
I truly believe that to be in Grenada today is the right place at the right time. There are two principal developments we are actively developing in Grenada, with the first phases completed: Port Louis, a maritime village and resort located in the heart of Grenada’s capitol, St. George overlooking the Caribbean Sea and Camper and the bustling Lagoon and new Port Louis marina owned and operated by Camper & Nicholsons; and Mount Cinnamon Beach Resort, a unique collection of artistically furnished resort homes located directly on the world famous Grand Anse Beach located minutes from St. George and Port Louis . Additional Outposts will include Tufton Hall, an ancient plantation high in the tropical rain-forest, to be restored providing an exceptional and unique ‘eco-spa’, and Mount Edgecombe, a restoration and revival of a traditional Grenadian working plantation. Guests of these properties will also have access to our own private air terminal at Grenada International Airport. The progressive Government of Grenada and the vibrant local community enthusiastically support these properties.
